Macleay Valley Hub is a Local online directory for all Macleay Valley businesses to list businesses and their key details, such as names, addresses, phone numbers and websites. The directory serve as modern version of traditional Yellow Pages, but they offer much more functionality, including reviews, ratings, and categorised listings to help users find specific services or products in their area.
We redesigned the entire backend and frontend. We automated the steps to prevent human error when adding listings. Enhanced the customer journey by integrating cool features and smooth transactions to take payments from local businesses. The site also serves as a Job & Real Estate portal to list jobs and properties for rent and sale. Local Restaurants can list their upcoming Live Events, and Shops can list their sales and also sell products.

The backend of the website was very unstable and had many bugs that needed fixing. The design also looked old and did not suit the different users (visitors, hub operators, members). We removed unnecessary code and content and cleaned up the structure. The payment system was not set up or integrated properly.
Our designers and developers reviewed the site and came up with ideas to help grow local tourism. Using industry standards as a guide, we created a new design framework based on the existing functions and images, starting with a clear wireframe. We then set up a safe and secure online payment system. Our goal was not only to make the pages look better, but also to make the site easier to use, more interactive, modern and consistent on every page, so users have a smooth experience.
Now, the Macleay Valley Hub has a more advanced and user-friendly website. It has been tailored to their customers, improves how the site works and helps attract new business. The new build includes modern features like dynamic layouts, responsive design for all devices and better social media integration.
