Lidcombe Waratah Football Club

Lidcombe Waratah Soccer Club is a non-profit community soccer club in Lidcombe, Sydney, established in 1938. With 88 years of local involvement, the club provides football opportunities for juniors, seniors, women and men across different age and skill levels, creating an inclusive, family-friendly sporting environment.

At WebSplash Digital, we designed and developed a structured website focused on content architecture, usability and streamlined navigation. We organised key club information into clearly defined sections covering teams, age groups, registrations, club history, volunteering and player opportunities. This information hierarchy helps parents, players, and visitors find relevant content with fewer clicks, especially for Registration, Fixtures & Results, which are the most visited pages.

The interface was designed with a responsive, mobile-first approach, ensuring consistent layouts across smartphones, tablets and desktop screens. We used modular content blocks, clear visual hierarchy and strategically placed calls to action to make important information easier to scan and access.

We also refined the website’s UI/UX structure to support different user journeys, from prospective players exploring age groups to existing families looking for club information. The content presentation was kept clean and accessible while maintaining the club’s community-focused identity.

The result is a technically structured, responsive website that gives Lidcombe Waratah Football Club a stronger digital platform for member engagement, registrations and community communication.
